Hi Irvin Alumni,

In 2 short months we will be gathering once again for our 55th year class reunion to be held starting Friday, November 1st. It happens to be the school’s homecoming and they will be playing Friday night from 7-9 p.m. against Fabens high school. They will have an alumni section at the game. They will also have some pregame activities but I don’t know what they are planning yet.

We have reserved time for a tour of the school Friday morning from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. so we can see the new additions and remember the “old”. At the 50th, there was a lot of construction going on so we were  unable to take a tour.

Saturday evening, November 2nd, Patty Avritt Russell has offered to let us use her home for a dinner gathering. Hopefully the weather will be as nice as it was at our previous one.

Are there any other activities that you would be interested in? If so please let us know so we can see if enough of others are interested also.

We need to know how many of you are planning to attend the school tour, the football game, and/or the dinner so we can plan accordingly. Please let me know as soon as possible.

Thanks,
Judy Mc

I would like to take the Friday morning tour and join the Saturday evening dinner. Not really interested in watching a football game, though. What's the arrangement for dinner? Do we need to chip in potluck style, or make a financial contribution?

I hope by that time I should be sufficiently recovered  from my lung surgery to make the drive to El Paso, which is only about 4 hours from Tucson. The surgery went well, and I was recovering about as expected when I developed some complications that may require more surgery, so it's not 100% certain that I will be able to come.

Hi Howard,

Will it be both you and Georgene attending the school tour and dinner? I’m trying to get a count for the people at Irvin and for arrangements at Patty’s. We’ll probably have dinner catered and the cost will depend on the number of people.

Hopefully you won’t need another surgery. Take care.

Hi Judy,
I’m making plans to attend the reunion. Devon Wall and I have been communicating about it and she has helped me find an AirBnB close to her. I will be there for the Friday morning tour, football game and Saturday dinner.
Thanks for putting me on the list,
Anneliese (Boll) Payne

Hi Howard,
I hope you’re recovering well from your lung surgery.
I am in Ogden, Utah at the moment attending the F-16 and Proven Aircraft WWR and had a meeting with a foreign liaison officer whose deputy was named Eric Harkness. Eric reminded me a little of you so I asked him if he had relatives in or from El Paso, Texas. He said his grandmother had told him that he had some relatives who had been hung for cattle rustling in El Paso a few generations before him, but didn’t know of any in El Paso now. Just thought I would pass that tidbit on, thought you might find it interesting.

If I am able to attend, it will be both of us. I should have a better idea of how things are going in a couple of weeks.
