Hello..............Alright already --- some sod buster is Lubbock left the gate to the field unlatched and looked what happened !!!!
Here in OKC we have snow blowing sideways at 473 knots . ( that 's for them Navy guys ) . # 1 and # 3 had to go to work .
                # 3 is the key carrier for the day at Home Depot . He has to open and close , I told him that he has the keys and he should
close at about noon !!! I don't think that we will get the 6" that they say we might get . They have already called off the
Christmas Eve candle light service for tonight .   # 2 found some short clip on the 'net' about some Norse trackers finding
" Father Christmas " --boy oh boy !!!  Hey Dallas are you getting any snow ? I hope that I get to see the little girl tomorrow .
The kids are drinking hot cocoa and Sally is baking pumpkin cakes for friends and neighbors . Sally;s sister just called
and said that the power is out at the nursing home .

We are getting a light snow mixed with rain.  I don't think that it is cold enough yet to stick.  I would rather not have snow if we have to cancel Christmas eve services.

Hello.............The wind is gusting to 57 mph . They have closed all of the freeways in the metro . If you are already on any of the
interstates you just wait for help , but they are not allowing anyone to get on those roads .  The metro is closed down .
There are some power outages . This storm is supposed to be done here by 10:00 tonight . The snow is dry enough that it
is not sticking too much to the roads , it is the drifts that are making it impassable . The airport is closed and the national
guard is out doing rescue .  Where is Al Gore when you need a little global warming . Hey Ray I am thinking about you
in that nice dry and warm desert . This is the first really good blizzard that we have had in a while .

BRRRR is right! Attached are two pictures of my back yard from the 2009 East Coast Blizzard last weekend. We only received about 14 inches in my neighborhood, but where my parents used to live received 30 inches of heavy, wet snow. We still have people with no power (it went off last Friday or Saturday). We kept our utilities except for cable so we were lucky--we had Direct TV as a backup. People were stuck on the WV Turnpike for 20 hours due to all the accidents and volume of snow. I hope this next storm misses us as I think we have had enough for one week.

A Merry and Blessed Christmas to everyone.

Beckey

Lloyd,

Lloyd,

You have roads? What's next? Public schools? The mind boggles.

One of the manifestations of global warming is crazy weather. If you want to see some actual heating and melting, check out Greenland. Or the North Pole. (Kids, there won't be a Christmas because Santa drowned...)

If you can get out of there, this is a good time to visit your sister in Canutillo. Bring a light jacket.

Merry Christmas, my friend, from our house to yours.

Ray

Hello...............Hi - Ray .   I just got a phone call from my sister . She is having a Christmas party . They have home made tacos,
queso , tamales , etc.  I do think that Santa could probably float .  Maybe we would start getting some Hawaiian shirts .
One of my pet peeves up here in Ok. is that there are no sidewalks . We do have roads ( mostly paved )  we never used
the public schools and yes our  ( my ) minds are often boggled .

I do feel sorry for those stranded in this, though! I saw there was a 50 car pile up on I-40 out by Hudiburg Chevrolet. My, oh, my. We made snow ice cream for dessert tonight....yum! Betty
