Surprise of surprises! My letter to the editor concerning El Paso and the Sun Bowl made it into the newspaper on Christmas day! One of my friends here sent me an email to let me know it was there, otherwise I would have missed it. I haven't read the newspaper for several days. Though I won't be going to the Sun Bowl game to see my Sooners, my heart will be there! Hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! Betty

Thanks, Zoomer! I really thought it wasn't going to appear. Though I hope you are wrong about Stanford winning, I happen to agree with you. With the way our team has played, and with all of the injuries, I will be surprised if we win. My sister and family were here today and we gave them all Sooner shirts to wear to the game. They haven't looked up to see where their tickets are, but they think they will probably not be near the Sooner fans, though they hope they will. I think it should be a good game. I like it when a bowl game is close and exciting. Thanks again for the compliment--coming from you, that is special! Betty
