Today is the culmination of years of our collective advocacy.
It has been thousands of hours spent by our team, on the backs of millions of Canadians and organizations who have stood up to say no more.
Today, Canada has recognized the State of Palestine.
We’ve watched the genocide against the people of Palestine.
And our hearts are still broken as we see a new massacre every day.
But our resolve has never been stronger for a free Palestine.
There will be more we need to do.
As we speak, millions of our family members are still starving, Palestinians are losing their homes, the IDF are threatening Al Aqsa, and every hour Palestinians continue to die crushed under the rubble and under the hail of Israeli bullets and bombs.
Inshallah, we're going to keep pushing until the genocide is over, our brothers and sisters in Palestine are free, and those responsible face justice for their crimes.
But we can say in our lifetime that this generation fought and succeeded to see Canada recognize the sovereign state of Palestine.
And we won’t ever stop until we see a Palestine free of oppression, of a world where we realize a just system where Canada always stands for justice.
But we will need your help to do that.
