New issue 1 by domrot: Manually configure IR codes
http://code.google.com/p/irserversb/issues/detail?id=1

First of all, thanks for a great initiative!

I downloaded the SW and followed the readme-guide all the way to the end.
Everything seems to be working, I am able to send commands to the IrServer
(help, quit, etc), and now I want to try and use it with my own A/V
equipment.

The problem is that my remote controls are, unfortunately, not listed on
the LIRC site, which means I don't have a shortcut into getting the right
commands sent to IrServer. Furthermore, I don't have access to an
IR-receiver, so I can't create the config-file myself.

I do, however, have a pretty extensive manual explaining the IR
configuration for my TV. The problem is understanding the manual, and
translating it into commands for IrServer...

I was hoping maybe you (having worked some with this type of specifications
already) could help me understand this, so that I'm able to translate them
into working commands.

I've taken 2 screenshots of the manual pages regarding IR codes, and I
would be ever so grateful if you could have a look and see if it makes
sense to you..

Thanks in advance!

Yea, it does look like that's got the right amount of information.  Look at some of the links mentioned in the code and any docs that I wrote.  I don't remember the details now so it'd take me as long as it'll take you to figure this out, but I'd stay encouraged by the possibility!

Good luck!

Greg
