I have a 1980 924. Does anyone have a recommendation on a good repair
shop for an older Porsche in either Utah or SL County? The car starts
well but when it’s turned off it will not “Hot Start”. Any
suggestions?
Thanks,

I would recommend Concourse autowerks. Bob Bowen does a good job on the details.

Dave - this is a common and thankfully minor problem with 924's. If
you go online to 924.org look under tech articles - sub topic engine
you will find a do it yourself fix. The problem is that the warm
start switch does not activate the 5th injector ( cold start )
properly. The fix is easy - you will be adding a manual switch to
control this injector. A 30 minute project and $5 bucks in parts and
your warm start problems are gone forever.

If you do not want to tackle this project then Bob at Concours Auto is
your man. Call him at 313-9100
