This has been my spring/summer/fall daily driver car for the past 8 years. This car has not been driven in the snow since I owned it. I stored it in my garage under cover during the winter months. This car has been garage kept for its entire life. I have driven the car an average of less than 4,800 miles per year and the car has been meticulously maintained by Strong Porsche and Kapp's European. I am the 3rd owner. All oil changes have used Mobile 1 with Porsche branded oil filters.
I purchased this car from Strong Porsche in December of 2005. If the looks of the car didn't already impress you, then getting behind the wheel and driving the car will take your breath away! This car really lives up to the reputation that Porsche has had for building a great Roadster! This is where you really see how well this car has really been kept! The car's suspension is incredibly tight. It glides over bumps effortlessly and holds well in the turns! Simply incredible! The engine, while very comfortable and smooth does have all the power that you need. Acceleration is very smooth thanks to all the torque that the engine provides. You really feel in control of the car when its accelerating! The car's 2.7 liter H-6 engine is very fast and has more than enough power to handle anything that would ever face it! The 5-Speed tiptronics transmission is very smooth and shifts just as it should. When you need to get this car stopped, the brakes will do it just as they did when the car was new, stopping the car evenly and effectively. To keep you cruising at a set speed, the cruise control will keep you going however fast you'd like to go. There is nothing like a Porsche, why buy a lesser car when you can own a classic, one of the 20 best cars you can buy new or used for under $15,000!
The only flaws this car has are: The summer sun has discolored the clear bra material on the top of the outside rear view mirrors, someone bumped my rear bumper in a parking lot, it has a very minor scratch in the front bumper from when I tapped my bike in the garage, it has one small scratch on the driver side door. Car paint is shiny and the convertible top and rear window are in great shape. The convertible mechanism works flawlessly.
The car is a looker, you will enjoy all of the attention you will get while driving it. Do not settle for a silver or other bland color Boxster. Get a "Speed Yellow" Porsche color.
