As far as i knew, there's lots of races in Oct.

 

10/02 Taichang Bike Race

10/17 Maziqi Biking Race (Ride from Huangshan to Shanghai in 24hr )

10/18 Hangzhou mountain Running

10/24 Suzhou half marathlon

10/25 Changjiang Bridge Running (From Pudong to Chongming Island)

……

 

Personally i will join the 10/18 Hangzhou Mountain Running and 10/25 Changjiang Bridge Running ( it's awesome that it's my first time to run from Pudong to Chongming Island instead of the ferry !)

is around 10Km, it's celebrated the changjiang bridge to traffic. You

The registration is still on going, and won't be closed until October 12th.

 

It's all one of the event for Shanghai Expro, and around ten thousands athletes and Shanghai expro volunteers will participate in the race. The distance will be totally 10KM, and the start will be in the middle of the bridge, and the destination will be the ChenJia Town in Chongming Island. The registration fee is free, and race will start at 10:00.

 

For the run's specific characteristics, some race clauses are particularly marked.

 

I tried to summary it, just compared with other general running races.

 

1. No private cars permit, for the traffic will be controlled, only the organization specific  shuttle buses will be driven on the bridge and it's the only way to the run start. You could get on the bus at some specific venues, i'm sure they will announce it after the registration to be closed.

 

2. No deposit service, that meant you must keep everythin by yourself during the running.

 

3. No wafer cups to be afforded. The environmental protection concerned, you have to bring the cups by yourself, the organization will only afford pure water.

 

4.The goal is in Chongming island, and the shuttle bus won't be back until 16:00, and more specifically, you have to leave after 16:00, or you take the ferry instead.Pls prepare it by yourself instead. There's some different shows after race in Chongming Island during this period.

 

Aboves are as far as i knew, and sorry if i've made any mis-understanding here, you could confirm it with organization later.

 

Personally i still want to have a try, it's maybe the only chance to run at that bridge instead of the driving.

由市协会参与协办的中国2010年上海世博会志愿者崇明大桥跑活动定于10月25日（周日）上午10点举行。

    此次活动由上海世博会筹办工作领导小组志愿者组、上海市城乡建设和交通委员会、上海市精神文明建设委员会办公室、共青团上海市委员会、上海世博会事务协调局、上海市教育委员会共同主办，上海文广新闻传媒集团、崇明县政府及我会协办。

    据主办方介绍，知名文体明星、数千名世博会志愿者及社会团体近一万人将参与这项活动。活动包括崇明大桥跑、风尚绿世集和赶碳！音乐会。

    借助此次活动，协会将凸显“绿色世博 低碳制造”系列活动中提倡的低碳生活的生活态度和方式，及其向社会各界展示外资企业践行环保的决心。

    活动为外资企业员工专门开设了方阵，并且开辟了报名渠道。参与企业不需支付参加费用，只需自行安排大巴前往，主办方将统一赠送相关活动T-shirt及其他物品。

    有意参加的企业，可下载附件（包括活动邀请函、活动须知Q&A、个人/团体报名表），在10月12日之前发送到ex...@charyou.org。   

活动Q&A

1、Ｑ：活动收费吗？
Ａ：活动不收取报名费用，但是参与团队需自行承担交通车辆的费用。此外，除组委会统一发放的物品（活动纪念T-shirt，背包）外，参与者需自行承担一些消费项目的费用（如食品、饮料、纪念品等）
２、Ｑ：对团队人数的人数有限制吗？
Ａ：每个企业（社团）团队的人数上限为50人，下限为40人。
3、Ｑ：活动的交通如何安排的？
Ａ：各企业（社团）需自行解决车辆问题，组委会提供统一的车辆通行证；为方便管理，我们只接受45座以上的大型巴士，减少现场的车辆数目。
４、Ｑ：我们怎么得到车辆通行证？
Ａ：您只需要将车辆信息（座位数、发车地点）在10月15日前提交，我们将在10月20日之前，告知活动物资（含车辆通行标识、车辆须知及活动服装）的领取信息。《车辆须知》将建议车辆的路线、指定的抵达时间、应急方案等信息。
5、Ｑ：当天的活动有些什么内容？
A：１０～１２点是长江大桥万人跑，，１２～１６点是风尚绿世集和赶碳！音乐会，期间将会有第５届上海青年风尚节的开幕活动，您将能参与到众多沪上知名青年社团的体验活动中去，国内知名的摇滚乐手也将为您带来非同凡响的感受。
6：Ｑ：要是跑不动了怎么办？
Ａ：此次活动全长１０公里，沿途设立数个服务站，您如果体力不支，可以在那里休整，等候。１２点，我们的清场巴士，将把桥面遗留人员全部送往终点风尚节现场。 

低碳生活小提示：

1、“拒绝一次性”
活动当天，现场不提供免费的瓶装水及一次性杯子，请参加活动的人员，自备饮具。
2、“我微笑，我捡起”
请各位做个清洁达人，不乱丢纸屑、杂物，保持环境的整洁。
3、“一切行动听指挥”
因为场地的特殊性及人数的众多，请务必听从指挥，减少不必要的矛盾。
4、“请勿迟到早退”
为保障活动的顺利和人员安全，大桥进行严格的封闭管理，车辆只能凭通行证，在规定的时间内进出。

STA (STC) will not participate this event with group registration. I registered it with my friend's help, his club name is wecycling, here's the link:
