UPDATE ON RACE COURSE

关于赛道路线/距离的更新

 

Due to the Government’s suggestion, we will move our starting point to the South of the lake this year instead of North of the lake, since there will be quite a lot of traffic and tourists. That makes the running course changed a little bit too. So we will have 4K and 12 K run this time instead of 5K and 10K.

 

We noticed in previous races that athletes mostly finish the first 5K around same time, which makes drafting somehow inevitable when start biking. We decided to move the 12K to the front this year, which makes drafting not that possible anymore, and also better for record athletes’ timing.

 

So the total distance and sequence is as below this year:

58Km 12Km 42Km     4Km

 

This also applies to relay team, which means the first runner will do 12K, then the biker does 42K, then the last runner will do the rest 4K.

 

Please accept our apology for changing the course and late notice, since we just received notice from Government. If it would bring any effect on your training, we are sorry for the inconvenience but hope you can understand and will enjoy our new route � you will run along the lake side, pass a little bridge � all in all, it is a beautiful and exciting new course! 由于刚刚接到滴水湖区管委会通知，今年的起点和转换区将从滴水湖北边移至南边以免北边游人众多而造成交通拥堵。因此跑步赛道随之也有小小变化，由原来的5公里和10公里变为4公里和10公里。

 

在以往比赛中，我们注意到选手在最初5公里跑步完成的时间会十分接近，所以自行车很多都是一起出发，这样会造成很多跟骑的现象，这在业余铁人比赛中是不允许的。因此我们决定这次把12公里的跑步移到前面来，这样既可以拉开距离，减少跟骑现象，也便于裁判计时。

 

所以今年的距离和顺序如下：

总计      跑步      骑车      跑步

58Km 12Km 42Km     4Km

 

接力组距离次序同上，这就意味着第一个跑步选手将会需要跑12公里，自行车选手骑42公里，然后最后一个跑步选手完成4公里。
