So I just downloaded and tried this game (works fine under Linux,
btw). One thing that I can't figure though is how to move the camera.
I'm on the fourth level of the tutorial, and as you can see here
(http://forum.xbmc.org/archive/index.php/t-59681.html), I've moved one
of my boats so far south that I can't really see what's going on. I've
tried dragging the map using both left- and right click, I've tried
the arrow keys and I've tried wasd. None of them seemed to have done
the trick. Neither did trying to move the camera in the minimap.

Hi Tommy,

Great that it is working under Linux! I've only tested on Mac and
Windows so far so you are the first!

For some reason the link you've posted doesn't show me anything (just
redirects to a forum). However, you should be able to see scroll bars
around the main game screen in order to move around the map. Can you
see these?

Next version I post should also have the mini-map navigation working.

Do you think that drag-to-scroll would also be a good addition?

Oops! That was my bad. I use a script in my file manager that
automatically uploads an image to imgur and places the URL in my copy
buffer. Seems I was a bit to quick to paste this time.

Here's the image I meant to show you: http://i.imgur.com/RqgCW.jpg
As you can see, there are no scrollbars. This is probably a bug that
stems from platform differences, if it works in Windows and Mac OS X.

I do think adding drag-to-scroll would be a good way to navigate around
the map. Scrollbars are so clunky, and I don't really think that they
should be used for camera movement. After all, we have scroll wheels on
our mouses just so that we can avoid using those scrollbars.

OK, I think I fixed the problem. It was basically an issue with the
scrollbars not getting initialised properly.

There is now a new fixed version uploaded - great if you could confirm
that it works!

I also added the mini-map and drag-to-scroll-navigation while I was at
it :-)

Seems to be working perfectly! It is a tad bit sluggish, but that's to
expect when running a huge Java app on an underpowered laptop. It's
perfectly playable. Being able to move the camera makes beating the
fourth level somewhat easier. ;)

Excellent, pleased to hear it! Many thanks for your testing and
feedback, it's all very useful right now!
