This is important enough that I didn't want it to be possibly missed by folks if I put it in the A&S subforum.

Calling all artisans! Amtgard needs you!

Have you ever wanted the arts and sciences of Amtgard to improve? Have you ever wished you could teach your crafts to more people? Do you not have the schedule that allows you to help out at any crafting nights your group might host? This is your chance to do something about it!

Currently, we are looking for volunteers to donate content to us to help Amtgarders learn to do all the artisan arts that apply to Amtgard. This content will be used to develop a website that is a one stop shop for all the "how to" needs of Amtgard. What we need from you is short videos, photos, patterns, and essays that teach people the techniques needed to do whatever crafts they might be interested in learning, from arrow-making to weaving and all things in between. What I mean by techniques is something the viewer could take and apply to their own project rather than just following along with the specific one in the instructional. As we do not want any copyright problems or plagiarism, please make sure that these are original items you will allow us to post publicly to this site (crediting you of course), but also welcome are links that you know of to sites that already possess these sorts of instructionals.

I know a lot of these things are already out there in the Amt-world, so please help us collect them, or donate new ones. With your help, we can point all our Amtgarders, newbie and veteran alike, to one place for everything they might need to learn how to do. And if this gets going, we hope to be able to host all the things needed to make Amtgarders improve all in one place. Not just how to be an artisan, but also how to be a 'crat articles, how to fight videos, how to run a tournament essays, and so much more! If everyone submits just one video or just one article, we will have an amazing resource for all to use in no time flat!

Please help us make Amtgard greater! If you have any questions, please email me at casc...@gmail.com. If you have any submissions, please email those to howtoa...@gmail.com. And please forward this on to any person you think might be interested in helping with this project.
