I guess this is not really a forum. Not sure what it is.

Why don't you think this is a forum?

Because it has a different format from other forums I am on. And John
said we shouldn't use this because it is not a forum, or something.
What do you think, Fred?

All respects to John, but I don't see how this isn't a forum, since it
does most of what we are familiar with as a forum. Unless it has to be
a phpBB or other canned solution in order to be recognized as such. Is
it because it isn't categorized? I like the Members, Pages Files
feature to the right. Some questions come to my mind right off the
bat:

Do you want this to be public?
Do you want part or all to be private or invite only?
Do you want it, or anything else, to be part of an effort to recruit
other people? This could include participants of events, a larger
knowledge community, a largr maker community, allied groups, etc.

Related: The blog I set up got some immediate traffic from Mark H
posting links on some other forums. I posted links back to the blog
for news stories I posted, and that got even better views. I'm going
to try a couple other things, then get a bunch of posts schedules,
etc. I expect regular traffic, which would give us an opportunity to
put up a call to action for recruitment. When would you like to do
that, or not?
