I have been watching the possibility of work with REsources Amazon S3
IN the procediment, https://wiki.irods.org/index.php/S3_Resource#1.29_Download_build_the_libs3_library  I was found that is necessary build the libs3 library.

I have downloaded this library from http://libs3.ischo.com/index.html and I follow the indications of INSTALL file, that I dont understand how to build this library

I have a ubuntu machine and I get the following output

bgarcial@main:~/libs3-Amazon-S3/libs3-2.0$ ls
archlinux  ChangeLog  debian    GNUmakefile        GNUmakefile.osx  INSTALL     LICENSE  README  test
build      COPYING    doxyfile  GNUmakefile.mingw  inc              libs3.spec  mswin    src     TODO
bgarcial@main:~/libs3-Amazon-S3/libs3-2.0$ make deb
make: curl-config: Command not found
make: curl-config: Command not found
make: xml2-config: Command not found
make: xml2-config: Command not found
make: *** No rule to make target `curl/curl.h', needed by `build/obj/acl.do'.  Stop.
bgarcial@main:~/libs3-Amazon-S3/libs3-2.0$

I think so that my problem is that I don't have idea abput of how to build it.

if you install the irods 4.0 dev libraries you will get a prebuilt S3 library.
you can also build our externals libraries for your platform if we do not
have the library you need for your platform.  or simply install our S3 plugin
if you are running 4.x.

understood, you can still reference our externals to build the S3
libs if you have trouble building them as we build them for our plugins
and then point your build at /usr/include/irods and /usr/lib/irods
