iRODS vs Hadoop

Hi Folks!

Does any one know how different is iRODS from Hadoop, (Hadoop Vs iRODS)

Please do suggest some articles/documents which indicate the above.

Hi Pradhu

   Both of these are quite different. Hadoop provides Map-Reduce Functionality over a istributed system hosting HDFS.  Whereas, iRODS is a policy-based data management system. You can interface iRODS and get complementary functionalities.
