respomd.xml for yum/dnf irods packages seems corrupted or not well-formed

Hello,

Since this afternoon (Paris Time ) I've got this error: Failed to download metadata for repo 'renci-irods': repomd.xml

When I try to get the file: https://packages.irods.org/yum/pool/el8/x86_64/repodata/repomd.xml

I get a binary file, and i a web browser this error:

XML Parsing Error: not well-formed
Location: https://packages.irods.org/yum/pool/el8/x86_64/repodata/repomd.xml
Line Number 2, Column 1:

I also see that the respomd.xml was modified today at 09:25

Is there an issue with the repo ?

Hi Mikael,

Welcome.

Yes, we had an unfinished rsync that left the repository in an unhappy state for an hour or so.

It should be working as expected now.

On the page https://packages.irods.org/yum/pool/el8/x86_64/repodata/

The repomd.xml timestamp is still the same 2026-06-25 09:29
