Install iRODS-4.2 on Ubunti 16.04

Hi, I am trying install iRODS on Ubuntu 16.04 following this guide https://packages.irods.org/ 

I add the renci-irods.list public key in the sources.list.d directory, but when I am install via apt-get of this way I get the following output :

My ubuntu features version is:

No LSB modules are available.

Is possible that the iRODS 4.2 only can install it on Ubuntu 14?

THere is the iRODS-4.2 stable packages similar to the iRODS-4.1 described here? https://irods.org/download/

That is correct, we have not released iRODS packages for Ubuntu 16 yet.

And the 4.1 stable packages does not works on UBuntu 16?

Hi Bernardo,

iRODS 4.1 was released in mid 2015, before Ubuntu16 was available.  We have not gone back and packaged 4.1 for Ubuntu16, yet.

We have 4.2 irods-externals available for Ubuntu16 right now on packages.irods.org, and you can build iRODS 4.2 with them if you choose.

We will have iRODS 4.2.1 available for Ubuntu16 soon.

None of the iRODS Consortium released packages have been tested on Ubuntu 16, but they may work.

Hi Sue,

We definitely have 4.2+ packages available for xenial (ubuntu16)

  - they should install without trouble by following the instructions at https://packages.irods.org

  https://packages.irods.org/apt/pool/xenial/main/i/
