A file is stored in IRODS with autochecksum enforced

Have a file stored in IRODS

 ils -L /Zone/path/fileput.txt
  eoetg             0 demoResc           45 2015-04-21.15:04 & fileput.txt
    sha2:6QUeQSp4BlaqwLIc+V10NT8BuoBMsH7Aj5e7gVW4KPY=    demoResc    generic    /irods/vault/path/fileput.txt

To verify checksums:

METHOD1:
when we perform ichksum verification, checksum looks fine

ichksum -K  /Zone/path/fileput.txt
   fileput.txt                       sha2:6QUeQSp4BlaqwLIc+V10NT8BuoBMsH7Aj5e7gVW4KPY=
Total checksum performed = 1, Failed checksum = 0

CHECKSUM CONSISTENT

METHOD2:

The value stored in ICAT table matches   sha2:6QUeQSp4BlaqwLIc+V10NT8BuoBMsH7Aj5e7gVW4KPY=
CHECKSUM CONSISTENT

METHOD3:

Performed sha256sum of the physical path e9051e412a780656aac0b21cf95d74353f01ba804cb07ec08f97bb8155b828f6

Compared sha2:6QUeQSp4BlaqwLIc+V10NT8BuoBMsH7Aj5e7gVW4KPY= with above checksum post hash decode

CHECKSUM CONSISTENT

METHOD4: (fails)
Performed ifsck -K  physcialpath_to_file

returns CORRUPTION: local file /irods/vault/filepath/file checksum not consistent with                                     iRODS object /Zone7filepath//file checksum.
Please advise.

Regards,
Navya.

hello Navya,

did you use the ifsck binary compiled from the very
distribution where you choose to use SHA-2 (config/config.mk file) ?
cheers,
JY
