I recently purchased about 20 or so cloisonne charms from an estate
sale. I realized when I got home, that they were Kewpies. I started
selling them on e-bay and one got removed for a trademark violation
from jesco toys. I don't know how I did that. I have been researching
and cannot find any info on these adorable things. Can anyone tell me
how to find out info? the 1 that was removed was a little sailor
kewpie with S.S. KEWPIE on his hat. 1 says S.S. SCOOTLES, 1 is a
budha, 1 looks to be BONNIEBROOK, 1 looks to be Rose O'Neill. some say
AVIVA pn back, some say C.R.O.'N.A., some say made in Taiwan. I don't
know if those are Kewpie or Cupie? Any help would be greatly
appreciated. I would like to know what year they represent, I am
assuming they are handed out at Kewpiesta? you can see some of the
listings on e-bay. user id is karilynn1976. thanks

I don't know if anyone can give you definite dates on these pins. A
lot of the clubs sell the same pins every year.

If anyone can give definite dates to karilynn1976, please add your
information.

Sincerely,
Theresa Schaefer

what I would like to know, really is how can I tell which charms are
Cupie's and which are Kewpies. I assume if they are handed out at
Kewpiesta, they must be Kewpie's. Are the pins only sold to members?

thanks
