I find it hilarious that I paid for a inefficient, battery-drain, that spies on me to boot. Consider supporting the project. Geometric weather will definitely be my weather app of choice for the foreseeable future

You can now access Google's slick Weather app without having to first open the Google or News & Weather apps. However, you will have to use Google to access the weather the old-fashioned way one more time, but you'll have the option to place a...

OnePlus has it too I think. It looks slightly different than the pictures posted (the top part) but I believe thats just how it evolved? Kinda surprised that not every single phone comes with it. Unless they are samsung, then they would have made their own. But just not having a weather app seems odd.

In the past i have used an old android tablet and an old iPad - they work well either hanging the wall or with a stand - i built a webpage aimed at viewing the data at a glance (just waiting for the Sky to link it in) - the background colour changes according to the the outside temp:

Take the weather with you on your mobile phone! Wherever you are, you can get the local weather forecast from the National Weather Service with one click on your home screen. Bookmark mobile.weather.gov to make sure that you have the latest weather news and information on the go.

Multiple Google search results have pointed to Google Now weather card settings as the place to change the units in the Android Wear app, but as I mentioned above, I already have those set since before I even had the watch. I tried changing to Fahrenheit and back to Celsius, but still no luck. I've tried restarting the watch and my phone a million times, but also had no luck getting the settings to take on my watch.

If you go to watch setting, then change watch face, scroll to classic, tap the setting bar below the displayed face, then it will allow you to scroll down to weather unit. Tap it and it will allow you to change between Celsius and Fahrenheit.

The weather these days is brutal. Although the best maps and navigation apps do alright, sometimes you need a little extra assurance under your belt, and that's where weather apps work their magic. Even though the Google Weather app is available on the latest Android phones, the service can be temperamental at times, so it pays to have a few viable alternatives. If you feel like staying dry or avoiding the worst of the summer heat, take a look at our roundup of great weather apps designed to keep your eyes on the skies.

The NOAA Weather & Tides app uses data from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), one of the most trusted weather sources. The NOAA app may not look the best, but it has a lot of useful data, such as current conditions, summaries for the next couple of days, and an interactive map. This map has a few different layers and layouts that show you the data you want. It also lets you track the weather for multiple locations. There's a widget included for quick views on the go.

MyRadar takes a different approach when displaying the weather by making the radar the focal point. The main screen is a radar map with current conditions and weather forecasts for the next couple of hours and days. At the bottom of the screen, you'll find selectable layers to enhance your experience and provide the exact insights you're looking for. Adding too many layers makes the interface look cluttered, and modifying the data is not the most intuitive, but the animations on this app are buttery smooth. MyRadar also allows you to explore Mars and the stars using a digital model and photos as well as a game called Star Citizen. A premium version of the app gets rid of ads and has a larger map. There are additional add-ons, such as a hurricane tracker that you can add for an additional fee on top of the premium fee.

Overdrop is a newer weather app that has already earned an Editor's Choice award on the Play Store. There are quite a few things to like about this app. First is the playful yet simple interface, which is customizable through several themes. Another is the vast number of widgets, there are more than 60, that have a variety of aesthetics and data to fit any home screen. You can also choose from three data sources for your weather data, including the beloved Dark Sky. In addition to the customizable themes and widgets, you can customize the persistent notification so that it shows the data you want in the way you want. The app is free with some ads, and a paid pro tier is available. The pro tier adds weather source, access to more widgets, more themes, a radar, and more. It also gets rid of ads, which is nice.

Windy.com is an app for those who want as much weather data as possible. Windy has some great information displayed in a really neat way, but it's not the most intuitive app. It has several weather models and shows that data in a high-resolution satellite and Doppler composite map. It has unique information like snow depth, wind gusts, wind accumulation, and more. It also has wave, swell, and tide forecasting for those who live near the ocean. Some features and data are part of the premium version, but if you know what you're doing, you can get a lot out of Windy.

Windfinder: Wind & Weather map is a more practical app for detecting severe weather, specifying its usefulness to fishermen, surfers, sailors, and other seafaring practices. Keep track of the tides with real-time forecasts and wind speed readings in your preferred unit of measurement. Users enjoy advance notifications regarding weather warnings and other serious climate events that could affect their business. The interface is developed for use easy access while on the job, accommodating wet hands with convenient sensitivity. If you're looking for a trustworthy app to watch your back while you sail, Windfinder: Wind & Weather map is a solid option.

The Weather Channel keeps you informed about climate goings-on in your area, including storm warnings, hourly updates, and weather forecasts 15 days in advance. Multiple radars allow you to track rain and snow storms, viewable from a home screen widget. All this information can be accessed from a single detailed menu compiled for maximum convenience. The Weather Channel has reliable features for tracking your local weather, especially if you want to plan ahead of time.

A great app for local weather prediction, Weather data & microclimate provides a detailed radar display of weather data, gathered from sources in your area for added accuracy. The app also denotes the wind strength, temperature, humidity, and air pressure in your location. Weather data & microclimate is great for being sure of weather conditions where you live. Recommended.

The weather has a major impact on your life, so not paying attention to it can have a deleterious impact on your happiness. It's always better to be cautious and check the facts on your favorite Samsung phone before setting off. Take control of your adventures and enjoy the great outdoors hands-off with these easy-to-use Android car mounts. The AerisWeather Android SDK allows developers to quickly and easily add weather content and functionality to their android applications. It utilizes the AerisWeather API backend for data loading and is built on top of an object mapping system that efficiently loads requested weather content into third-party Android applications, significantly reducing the amount of code and development needed on the developer end.

I installed a new weather app the other day. I tried to uninstall or disable the default weather, but they are not available. I turned off every notification capability I could find. Removed all permissions, but nothing fixes the problem.

Before the Android 10 and One UI 2.0 update I could easily see 2 locations on my weather widget just by swiping the widget up or down. And it will switch between the 2 locations or more the way I set it.

Now after I got the update, I can't do that anymore..... I have to open the weather app, and change the location manually. Even inside the app itself I can no longer swipe left or right to switch between locations.....
