Hello:

I just purchased a Pocketbook IQ eReader running Android and wanted to
get a more versatile eBook reader application and found iReader which
looked ideal; particularly because of the built in file browser.

I installed it without any difficulty on the IQ, but when I ask to
open a document I get an error "Cannot open /sdcard".

It appears that iReader is looking for eBooks on a SD card mounted in
the card slot of my IQ; but I have books loaded onto the IQ's local
storage that I want to open without having to copy them to a card.

How can I have iReader browse the local storage?

Hi:

Maybe we need enhance it. Could you please tell me your local storage path and sd card path?
I'm not sure if your device support sd card. You can try to use another FileManager app to get the path name.
BTW, which version are you using now?
Thanks a lot!

Thank you for the prompt reply.

I'm still new to how Android does things, so please forgive me if I seem ignorant.

If I browse using ES File Manager, I get a message saying "SC Card unmounted or not present".

I can then click what I take to be the "root" button that shows the local storage file system. There I see several folders including "cache", "config", "data", "dev", "etc", etc...

From there I can I navigate to a folder called "PocketBook701".

In there is a folder called "books" that contains additional sub-folders with various .epub and .pdf files.

Is there a way to do this inside iReader as-is, or does the software need to change?

Hi:

I suppose it can show the root of file system if the /sdcard path can not read.
I will do test on my system.
Could you please make a snapshot for this issue you met?
Thanks a lot!

I'm sorry, as I said I'm new to Android. I'm not sure what you mean by a "snapshot", can you explain?

Thanks,
