Dear Friends and IRCC family,
Thank you for making Anand Bazar/Republic Day/Lohri Event on January 30th, 2011 a stupendous success. About 500 guests attended the event. We sincerely appreciate all community members who encourage Indian Heritage and guide our next generation.
On behalf of the IRCC Board, our sincere thanks to outgoing Board members Vivek Swaroop, Sanjiv Sharma and Krishan Garg for their outstanding job during 2010; their leadership has raised the bar and we will endeavor to be equally effective.
We have great pleasure in welcoming our new Board member Sidharth Anand, Nutan Punyani and Rajesh Punjabi.
We thank all the food and non food community member/vendors whose enthusiasm made the Anand Bazaar event- a huge success!!!!. No matter how hard the committee members and volunteers work, without your participation the events would not be complete!!!. We sincerely appreciate your attendance in spite of your busy schedule. It is a great encouragement to all who impart their resources to organize the fun and food for the occasions!!!
Thanks to Shashank Sharma who volunteered to be the DJ for the event. We thank Johnny for providing us equipment and being there. Our thanks to Sunil Soni from Sawmi Naryan Temple and Viren Patel from South Florida Leuva Patidar Samaj (SFLPS) to provide Kites and Dori at the last minute. Thanks to all the IRCC youth committee for Water &, Soda.
IRCC has five core activities each year- Anand Bazaar/Taste of India, Holi, Rakshabandhan/Bowling, Navratri and Diwali. These events serve as a way to keep the kids attached to their heritage. In addition to the core, we plan for additional one or two events every year, like IRCC Idol/Grand Parents Day. Kindly feel free to send your suggestions or comments to us at bo...@irccflorida.com.
Please mark your calendar for IRCC future events:
Holi Sunday, March 20, 2011 at CB Smith Park
Rakshabandhan/Bowling Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Strikers Family Sports Center
Navratri September 29th & 30th and October 8th and 9th, 2011 at Silver Trail Middle School
Festivals of Lights-Diwali November 19, 2011 at Broward County Convention Center
Our team is working hard to put together “Festival of Lights” flyer and will send you as soon as it is done. Please send your contact information, if you would like to volunteer and help in this big event.
We look forward to seeing you in the upcoming IRCC events. We are in process of re-designing our website and it will be ready soon with more interactive information plus online membership fees payment.
On behalf of the IRCC Board,
Sanjay Gupta
President
