As you may know, the attacks against Richard Horton, the chief editor of the  most prestigious international medical and public health journal, the Lancet, have continued unabated since July 2014, and against the journal's publication of an open letter in support of Gaza during the summer 2014 onslaught, which was signed by over 20,000 signatories. 

At this stage, it is becoming necessary to go public with a response to the latest complaint to Reed Elsevier (the Lancet publisher) which summarizes the issue beginning July, in defense of Richard and the Manduca letter publication in the Lancet during the onslaught on the Gaza Strip  in the summer of 2014 (An open letter for the people of Gaza), and asserting the importance of not stifling  medical journal editors and debates. 

Our response, as Lancet Palestinian Health Alliance members, is now public, and we are soliciting supporting signatures.
