Thank you for volunteering for this year's Raiders Rumble.  If you're a student you'll be picking up community service hours as well as promoting a passion for STEM in Melrose and Eastern Massachusetts. If you're on the VEX team and want to volunteer please met me know..

As a volunteer you need to register with USFirst as a Volunteer. If you have not already done so Click here now

Attached is a list of assignments, event timing is as follows:

Thurs, Dec 10th
5:30PM - Setup of one field  (student referee's report)
6:00PM - 8:00PM
  • Distribute T-Shirts
  • Kickoff and training

Who: All judges and referees, timing team (Keith and Connor)

Friday, Dec 11th

6:00 - 8:00PM - Setup
  • Unpack food, etc. from cars
  • Labels halls
  • Label queuing areas
  • Setup cafeteria
  • Setup auditorium
  • Display kiosks
  • Timing system
  • Camera and projection booth
  • Sound system
  • Sound check
Who:

Everyone except for judges
Referees - (Set 5 other tables)


Saturday, Dec 12th

7:30 Staff arrival
8:00 Team arrival, pizza pre-purchase, etc.
8:30 Opening ceremonies
8:50 Coach meeting (in front of auditorium)
9:00 Judging and rounds start
  • Each team competes in five (5) rounds
  • Teams rotate through three judging rooms as "groups" when not competing
12:00  Lunch, no competition, no judging
12:45 Start
2:00  Elimination rounds and project presentations
  • Top 8 seed teams advance
  • Project presentations between rounds.
3:40 Awards ceremonies
