Hi everyone,
The VEX season is winding down.
We will meet as usual this Tuesday, 2/23. We will be focusing on driving practice and testing/improving autonomous, in preparation for our last competition, next Sunday 2/28.
This Tuesday is the last night that the HS team can work on their robot, so it is imperative that the VEX team stays out of their way. We will have ZERO tolerance for horseplay and fooling around. If we have to speak to your child, it will include having them call for a ride home ASAP. Please discuss with your child before Tuesday's meeting. Every kid on the team has, at times, gotten out of hand, and they all need to understand that it is even more unacceptable than usual this week. This includes, but is not limited to, playing ball, swiping other kids' hats/phones, running around, wandering around the school, pushing and shoving... If they aren't actively driving, coding, or working on the robot, they should be observing, not fooling around on their phones.
As I mentioned above, our final competition will be Sunday, 2/28, in Worcester. Please make sure your child knows whether or not they will be attending, and whether or not you are available to drive (one way or both, any preference as to direction, and number of passengers you can accommodate). We'll figure out carpools a little later this week. We have entered two robots in the competition, so there should be plenty of opportunity for all of the kids to participate.
Thanks!
