Hello Melrose iRaiders Families,
As you likely know, the annual Melrose Kitchen Tour is the primary fundraiser for our organization. It is a critically important event, as we raise about $10,000 each year to cover the cost of materials, entry fees, etc. for the Lego, VEX and US First teams, enabling the students to participate at virtually no cost to families! This year's event is scheduled for Sunday, November 6th, and WE NEED YOUR HELP! Here are 3 ways you can help....
1. Do you know of anyone who has done a great kitchen renovation in the past few years, who may be interested in having their kitchen included on the tour? Or, do you know a contractor or kitchen designer with a Melrose client who may be interested? If so, let us know, and we will contact them with more info.
2. Do you have any connections with a printing company who may be able to donate their services to produce our tour booklet and posters? Our previous printer is no longer able to donate, which has reduced our fundraising profits by over $1,000!
3. Can you spare a few hours of your time to reach out to local businesses, either by phone or in person, to ask for their support? Business sponsorships are critical to the event's success. Many have donated in the past and will be happy to donate again, but we need help in reaching out to them all.
While November sounds far off as we are enjoying these hot summer days, we all know it will be here before we know it, and our planning is in high gear! Please let us know how you can help!
