All,

I am very pleased to announce that we have three fabulous mentors that are stepping up to take technical leadership of the VEX program this fall.

• Doug Harriott
• Gary Garber
• Peter Zelten

First meeting is tentatively set for Thur Sept 29th. We will hold it on Thursdays in Sept and Oct, and then step up to a Mon/Thurs schedule.

To keep this team running we are going to ask for very vibrant parental support for:

• General organization and logistics
• Sufficient mentors on duty to control the crowd.
• Team drivers

The first meeting will kickoff with a student-parent meeting. The students and parents will then break-off for private meetings.  In the parents meeting we'll be specifically asking for support.

As in year's past we will try to make this a free program. Funding has gotten more difficult over the years. There is a 95% chance that we will loose all funding from one of our major donors - Textron as they wind down one of their major manufacturing lines in Wilmington.

The iRaiders program is putting in place a new iRaiders Code of Social Conduct.  At the high school level all students will read and sign a physical copy of it at the start of the season.

Look forward to seeing everyone a week from Thursday.

Hi James.  Sorry to bother you.  My son Jeffrey advised me he has not seen anything as to the VEX sign up.  Will this be coming up in the near future?  Jeffrey really enjoyed this last year and we just want to make sure that signing him up does not slip through the cracks.
