I then started it up using iqfrec - which started the server and allowed me to connect.

Once I was logged in I ran sp_iqcheckdb 'allocation database' - which then caused the server to stacktrace and crash.

Hi,

Thanks so much for the responses. I have tried with iqnotemp as well as changing the port number and it still stacktraces.

Another thing to try is change the port that the IQ Server is listening on - I have seen a similar stack trace if the chosen port is in use (note that 5000 is the default port for ASE)

Hi Sedlick,

Pending no responses from other folks, here are my two suggestions:

1) Any time you have a valid stack trace, call TS.

2) Beyond that, your situation looks like one I have encountered several
times after restore when the correct temp stores are not available.
Perhaps try also starting with the -iqnotemp 50 (small on the fly 50M temp
store in a file) and see if that helps, if so, at least you will have found
the area to focus on.
