Transition mechanism of IPV6

Dear All,

I would like to implement transition mechanism for router.

I have a theoretical idea about 6to4 tunneling mechanism.

I found this statement "Transitioning technologies like 6in4, 6rd, 6to4 or ds-lite" ?

Can somebody explain what is the difference among 6in4 ,6rd,6to4 or ds-lite ?Above all are require mandatory ?

Does linux 3.10 kernel supports all above features ?if yes ,only require proper configuration in kernel or any 3rd party application require to enable these features ?

I would appreciate if somebody explains or points good links where I can get practical idea.
