The next meeting of the Historical Commission is Monday evening October 21 at 7:30 pm.  We meet in the Mary Conley Room, basement floor of the Ipswich Town Hall. On the agenda:

Citizen inquiries

Carried forward: demo inquiry for Brown Square. 

Discussion: Begin planning and publicizing Architectural Preservation District article for Fall 2014 town meeting.

Here's an update for Monday evening's Historical Commission meeting. We have several items on the agenda, so I will keep the meeting moving along.

  • Citizen inquiries and additional agenda requests
  • Announcement: Photos and documents from Susan Howard Boyce estate (Gordon Harris)
  • Approve minutes from previous meeting (Laura Gresh)
  • Historic preservation conference in Ipswich, coordinate with APD effort (Kerrie Bates)
  • Carried forward: demo inquiry for Brown Square. (Gordon Harris)
  • Choose Mary Conley Award winner for 2012 (Al Boynton)
  • Set date for separate Architectural Preservation District task force meeting.

We also need to go over what we are doing on Sunday for the APD discussion at the Hart House. I still don't know a schedule, what I am to cover vs what you will cover etc... This is just around the corner and there is very little information on what is going on.
