Hi Everyone -- I enjoyed our relaxed conversational style meeting last night. I think we're off to a good start just by getting to know each other and sharing our interest in the history and architecture of Ipswich.
I hope to promote the APD proposal is by helping create neighborhood awareness in each of the four National Registry Historic Districts. This morning I finished a post about the South Green. This is the format I will use for each district, with an interactive map, links to the history of each house and to the current owner / database information on the Ipswich town site. I will be leading free walking tours in each of the historic districts on the first Saturdays of June, July and August as part of the 17th Century Saturdays program organized through the Essex National Heritage Area and the Ipswich Visitor Center. This would be a good opportunity for people who live in those districts to meet each other and begin the conversation.
