I hope everybody had a wonderful summer and a nice vacation. Well, at least a good summer: 25% of Americans (31% of low-wage earners) don't have any vacation at all. Of those that do, the majority don't take their vacations. Americans work too damn hard.

Anyway, below are the dates for dinners during the remaining months of the year. Per usual, I'll arrive around 6:00PM to greet early birds and food will be ordered at 6:30PM.   1. Thursday, September 24th, at Au Coquelet, in Berkeley.
  2. Thursday, October 15th, at Jupiter, in Berkeley.*
  3. Thursday, November 19th, at Paisan, in Berkeley.
  4. Thursday, December 10th. Location to be announced.
*Contingent since often the only first-come seating available is outside. We'll relocate to nearby Au Coq if the weather bodes cold or rainy and I can't get a big enough inside table. (I can make a reservation if I get commitments from nine other Dixers.)  I'll post an update to the calendar by 6:00PM on the date if we're moving. Guests, as always, are welcome.

Also, I'm sorry to belatedly share the very sad news that Larry's father passed away a few weeks ago.
