There has been a number of ad hominem attacks in the group over the past few months. Not towards one another, but instead towards persons being referenced in posts. These include invoking epithets for Ayn Rand, Bernie Sanders, and others. These will no longer be tolerated. They are contrary to the fundamental tenets of Ipse Dixit.

Though posts tend to be political nature, there are no restrictions on topics. Art, science, design, technology, music, literature, cooking, and even flower arranging, are all legitimate topics. There are also no restrictions on language—so long as it is not used to defame or demean. 

Please refrain from ad hominem attacks and avoid stereotyping. Claims made should be evidence-based and include supporting references.

Should these continue, I will simply enable group moderation, which will allow me to choose which posts are published, to the detriment of all, because nary a post doesn't have at least some value to its discussion.
