Sorry this is late. I keep forgetting...

As it is customary to tell how we met Brian at the beginning of these, I will state that I can't remember when it was. I met him through his lovely wife as my wife and Kate have been friends for some 20+ years after working together in a tech publishing sweatshop. I was born and raised in the Great White North of Minnesota (or Canada south as some would have it). I always wanted to be a baseball player, but a 75 MPH fastball limited my prospects. After a brief run at tournament table tennis I went to college where I was ambushed by art and poetry. I learned neon fabrication through art and started my own company after realizing I could make more money at that than all the crap jobs I had done. Burned out at small business and landed (through a connection with some guys I knew via fantasy baseball) in the rare book world where I have abided since. Through it all I have continued to make artwork that lights up. Any attempts to stop always result in my wife telling me to get back to my studio and stop driving her crazy. I mostly read the international press as the only US mainstream news org that does not seem to be primarily a mouthpiece for the US oligarchy is, bizarrely enough, McClatchy. I also subscribe to Science News as nothing beats science for bathroom reading.
