Gizmodo has an article up about the FBI's use of Stingrays, covert devices for intercepting cell phone calls, as being used in the “pre-Snowden times.” Say what you like about Snowden, Americans certainly benefited from his actions, if only because of their consequently heightened awareness to the growing surveillance state.
