I worked at Pixar for about 31 years (which, yes, means I started at LFL) and now do a variety of freelance work, including content editing, podcast and audiobook production, sound production and postproduction, and teaching improv. The common thread is story telling. You can, should you be so inclined, find out more at my
web site.
A long-time audiophile, I have what you'd have to call an atypical sound system. I like my music. A lot. I helped Dave Wilson doing the recordings and then building the speakers that eventually became
Wilson Audio. (If you're in the audiophile world you know the name.) To thank me he gave me the speakers I have. They're rather good.
I've also, as my dad used to say, done everything but herd sheep and do brain surgery. I even worked briefly under deep cover for a private investigator. I grew up a Mormon, served a mission in Chile in 1975-77 (where I learned Spanish), and am now a complete atheist. Politically, well, good luck trying to pigeon hole me. Let's just say that I have a very small tribe.
My interests include scientific skepticism, aviation (I'm an Instrument Rated pilot, but not current), cooking (ask me about Sous Vide), firearms, cars, and of course movies.
I'm divorced and have one daughter who is a Junior at Albany High School.
