"Subject: Be A Communicator at #IUCNCongress

Hi Everyone,

To face forces of transformation such as climate change and socioeconomic inequality, we need partnerships that stretch across the planet ― both among new sectors, and with individual influencers. Each one of us holds a vital piece of the puzzle that will allow humanity to secure the sustainability of Nature’s ongoing support systems. This is our collective challenge. This is the invitation that the #IUCNCongress is offering to the world.

In the digital age, communication is one piece that we can ALL contribute to. Many of us, including the #IUCNCongress and #NatureForAll, understand that the tools to build a movement are in the hands of individual communicators.

OUR CHALLENGE TO YOU: As a Congress attendee, journalist or social media enthusiast, seek out unexpected stories and perspectives, and use your own channels to hook your friends, families, audiences and networks into the conservation world. If you are coming with a delegation to congress or know of groups who might be interested, share the attached one-pager with them and help to get them excited about communicating Congress' messages and calls to action online.

Be a communicator at congress, and join a growing community in person and virtually to create effective, engaging, and complimentary communication pieces to affect perspectives and incite action.

HOW?
- Pre-Congress: Share the attached one-pager with your colleagues and peers, and start building buzz on social media before the WCC begins.
- At Congress: Attend morning Media Meet-ups / When: 8:00-8:30am / Where: #NatureForAll Pavilion
- Virtually: Stay in touch, and share media tips and emerging stories during Congress by joining this Facebook group.

For more information on how you can get involved at Congress, check out the media opportunities listed in the attachment or email Tom at tomasz.w...@pc.gc.ca.
