The next International Leadership Workshop for Rural Youth will take place under the motto “Gaining skills - sharing knowledge - building networks” in the House of Bavarian Agriculture in Herrsching / Germany from 7 to 22 August 2019.

For more than 50 years, the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture is organising this "International Leadership Workshop for Rural Youth" every two years at the Haus der bayerischen Landwirtschaft in Herrsching am Ammersee.

The workshop is aimed at managers and multipliers from all over the world who hold positions of responsibility in the field of youth work or vocational training in rural areas.

•    Protection of Resources and Environment
•    Education and Mentoring
•    Agriculture and Society
•    Competing Livelihoods in Urban and Rural Areas

The international dialogue of this workshop opens new perspectives in rural youth work and strengthens your leadership skills by learning implementation strategies and developing a personal action plan. The workshop requires your active collaboration. Participants must be between 21 and 45 years of age and fluent in one of the three conference languages - German, English, French.

The costs for accommodation, meals, working aids and excursions included in the program are paid by the organizer.
Travel costs to and from the workshop must be paid by the participants themselves or by their organisations/ employers. Under certain conditions financial assistance may be provided.
