Dear IPPC 2014 Competitors,
COMPETITION SIGNUP:
===
Please signup for a final competition time slot next week (Tues-Fri):
Please contact Marek via email to arrange a time for him to start your EC2 Server and send you the IP address, port, and link to final competition instances (same format as that distributed in IPPC 2011). Please choose a starting time between 7am-midnight in Toronto's time zone.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
===
- A planner freeze takes effect June 6 (UTC, 12:01am).
- No one objected to Andrey's request, so all competitors should send Marek and me an archive of their planner's source code by June 6 (UTC, 12:01am). *After* we have received your source code, we will send you a link to the competition domains and first instance. You must maintain a list of all changes to your planner after this time, which we will verify.
- Some *minor* changes have been made to the RDDLSim Server for the final competition... these should not adversely affect anyone's client, but please update and recompile to check:
... The Server now sends some *additional* timing and reward info (thanks to Thomas Keller for these changes), see the updated protocol:
The existing message content has not changed, only some additional content has been added for diagnostic purposes.
... The Server now randomizes repeat sessions for the same instance in a reproducible way (thanks again to Thomas).
... The Client IP/Host name are now recorded in the Server log file (all competitors must use an EC2 instance which will be verified by this IP/Host entry).
Thanks,
Scott, Marek, and Jesse
