IPPC Test Competition Update

Hi all,

IMPORTANT: I've just posted a **revised** version of the **test competition problem archive**:

Please update to this archive, changes are as follows:

- All 10 traffic instances are now included.

- All translations have been regenerated to remove redundant actions.

- The translation filenames are now just the instance names with an extension (e.g., sysadmin_inst_mdp__1.spudd) ... this will make it easier to identify which file should be loaded given the list of instances.

Please also 'svn update'.

Please email me when you are ready to begin the test competition (on or before Mar 18).  You will have 12 hours to enter results for the 40 instances (either MDP or POMDP) in the test_comp archive given above.  As for the final competition, you need not provide results for all 40 test competition instances, or even for all trials.  Although test competition results won't be published, they will be used to tune problem parameters, problem sizes, number of trials, and horizon for the final competition.

In a moment, I will email competing teams with their Amazon EC2 credit for $55 that will cover the 36 hours of large instance (7.5GB) computation time needed for the IPPC test and final competitions (with an additional 130 hours to spare for experimentation).
