Hi Heeb and Bhola,

Can you post this news item?

Bhola, an IPP News Item and Top Headline for this issue  will become more obviously relevant to IPP if mention is made in a sentence or two of this issue's ( where you are the guest editor ) import to poor and developing countries...
.

Therefore, do you suppose a YouTube summary presentation of the issue of ASCE, or one highly relevant paper in this issue, to poor and developing countries?
IPP will feature it on its website, in September, if it can be done.

Kind regards,

Dear Ron and colleagues:

We are pleased to inform you that contributions are being invited for
the special issue of ASCE's Journal of Hazardous, Toxic and
Radioactive Waste (ASCE-JHTRW) on the general topic of "Toxics and
Pathogens Transport".

Research papers pertaining to various aspects of toxics and pathogens
will be considered for the proposed special issue covering following
subthemes:

•       Sources and transport
•       Monitoring and characterization
•       Modeling and parameter estimation
•       Health effects, risk assessment and environmental impacts
•       Laboratory experiments and case studies
•       Policy measures and technology interventions for remediation
and mitigation

We request you to prepare your paper according to the journal's
requirement and submit it on-line. You can find the journal website
at:

http://www.pubs.asce.org/journals/pphazardoustoxicradioactive/

Please note that papers which do not follow the journal's format will not be considered.

Submit your paper as soon as possible, but no later than March 12, 2010. State in your cover letter that the paper is submitted for the special issue of ASCE-JHTRW. Also, provide contact info for 3 to 4 potential reviewers.

All papers should contain original research (not published previously in any conferences and other journals). The corresponding author will be responsible for ensuring this.

Because of the tight schedule for publishing the special issue, We
expect you to accept our invitation to review at least two papers to
complete review of all papers in a timely manner. We want to make sure that the special issue is of high quality; therefore, rigorous review of each paper is essential.

We are sending this e-mail to only the potential corresponding
authors, please feel free to forward it to all your probable
co-authors and colleagues.

Thanks and best regards.
