HELP REQUEST!: Anyone have experience "borrowing" internet service
(i.p. address) from COMCAST if you have their cable TV service on the
sly?
I have a friend who's getting "cheap" cable from them and has in the
past had "cheap" net access- but they returned the cable modem and
are now trying to repeat the internet feat on a purchased Motorola
Bit Surfer cable modem box (they are currently enjoying the "cheap"
cable t.v. part with no problem..)
We're trying to do it with an IBook w/ Airport Extreme via an AirPort
Xpress mini base station... should we try with an ethernet cable
first or is that unnecessary?
