According to Gartner, Symantec Endpoint Protection 14 is one of the more comprehensive endpoint security products available and regularly scores well in independent tests.[3] However, a common criticism is that customers are "fatigued" by "near constant changes" in the product and company direction.[3] SC Magazine said Endpoint Protection 14 was the "most comprehensive tool of its type . . . with superb installation and documentation."[12] The review said EndPoint Protection had a "no-brainer setup and administration," but it does have a "wart" that support fees are "a bit steep."[12]

Forrester said version 12.1 was the most complete endpoint security software product on the market, but the different IT security functions of the software were not well-integrated.[22] The report speculated the lack of integration would be addressed in version 14.[22] Network World ranked Symantec Endpoint Protection sixth in endpoint security products, based on data from NSS Labs testing.[23]

We have been a Symantec Endpoint protection shop for a long time and just purchased Sophos Endpoint with Intercept X. The sales rep said that they can coexist on the same machine yet when you install Sophos Endpoint it uninstalls Symantec Endpoint. Now I am cautious to install Symantec on top of Sophos. Is there anyone out there running both and is there a need to run both clients any longer. It appears to me that we only need Sophos. Any suggestions out there?? Thanks.

Endpoint protection platforms (EPPs) provide the facility to deploy agents or sensors to secure managed endpoints, including desktop PCs, laptop PCs, servers and mobile devices.EPPs are designed to prevent a range of known and unknown malicious attacks. In addition, they provide the ability to investigate and remediate any incidents that evade protection controls.

My search started with a requirement for an endpoint protection vendor that would be able to help with basic antivirus features. When I learned about all that the Singularity Platform can do, I decided to give it a chance, even though I was very skeptical at first. Long story short, the Singularity Platform has proven to me that it really can do much more than their competitors for a fraction of the price, including even the features I needed from what I thought would be a different product from a different vendor. All in all it became a great benefit to the organization and it was a pleasant experience with everyone involved.

I have been using Microsoft Defender for endpoint and it has been quite the journey. From the moment I fired it up,I found the interface and intuitive and user-friendly. Scanning for vulnerabilities across my network was a breeze.it quickly identified potentials threats without overwhelming me with technical jargon. One standout feature was its clear and actionable recommendations. It not only highlighted vulnerabilities but also offered step-by-step guidance on how to mitigate them.this made my job much easier, especially when dealing with less familiar security issues. What truly impressed me was its real-time monitoring. It constantly kept an eye on my network, alerting me to any suspicious activities.it felt like having a vigilant guardian watching over my digital kingdom. Overall, Microsoft defender for endpoint made vulnerability assessment straightforward and effective. It wasn't just a tool, it was a partner in keeping my systems safe.

I absolutely love CrowdStrike and all the Falcon Products. Even before working where I do now, I have been involved with CrowdStrike for many years, and it seems to blow all the competition away with its feature sets, usability, stability, and just overall levels of protection. CrowdStrike definitely has a Customer First mentality, and truly cares if we are protected. They seem to take every effort to stay on the bleeding edge of cyber security, and work diligently to attempt to stay as many steps ahead of bad actors as they possibly can. They are continuing to innovate new features, develop smart/strategic partnerships with compatible tools, and develop new product offerings that not only expand their capabilities and presence in the market or new markets, but also allow an easy to adopt product that is complete and secure.I sleep well at night knowing that CrowdStrike is protecting my fleet.

Our overall experience with Sophos thus far has been exceptional. They've been able to deliver a rock solid product with great customer service on all fronts, exceeding our criteria and expectations. We took our time carefully evaluating Sophos and a number of other endpoint protection solutions before deciding Sophos was tool we were looking for. A clear winner.

I've been with MWB for several years now and the product just keeps getting better! New features are being added all the time making more and more the one stop shop for protecting your endpoints from the digital world! Having worked through a ransomware attack I know the dangers of not protecting every endpoint and what that can mean for the business. Their simple but powerful approach to securing endpoints in multiple ways gives me total peace of mind that my business is protected 24 hours 365 days of the year.

My experience with Cortex XDR has been transformative, revolutionizing the way our organization approaches cybersecurity. Since the implementation, we have witnessed significant improvements in our threat detection capabilities. The advanced behavioral analytics, powered by AI and machine learning, help us identify threats in a timely fashion. In addition to its advanced threat detection capabilities, Cortex XDR further impresses with its compatibility across various operating environment. We have a large heterogeneous environment and many of the competitive products struggled to provide support for the diverse operating systems we employ in our organization. Furthermore, XDR extends its support to many end-of-life and end-of-support operating systems, ensuring that even legacy systems are shielded from potential vulnerabilities and threats. This versatility and inclusivity demonstrates XDR's commitment to providing comprehensive security solutions that cater to diverse IT environments. The benefits of the XDR platform become even more prominent if you have their entire security stack including PRISMA, XDR, X-SOAR and NGFWs. This is when you truly unlock the potential of the platform where you are provided with a singular pane to detect and mitigate threats across the kill chain. Just like any other deployments, there have been hiccups with our implementation on occasion but the support provided by the PAN team has been nothing but exceptional. There are some opportunities related to user-interface specific to their PRISMA cloud product but since this review is for XDR, I will skip that for now. Overall, I am pleased with the product, its capabilities and the protection it offers to our organization.

Webroot endpoint security is an excellent security solution for both the operating systems - Windows as well as Mac OSX. They provide with regular updates and definitions for protection. It ads a layer on top of the regular anti-virus security which by itself is not enough. This added layer provides protection against attacks, worms, viruses on sites, and other protections.

Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) is an enterprise-wide application used for protection against intrusion. It includes protection against virus, malware and network layer attacks. SEP is available for both Macintosh- and Windows-based platforms.

AFAIK there is a Option in Symantec Endpoint protection called Network-Protect, that doesnt allow the Mac-Adress-Broadcast, that is used to find accessible Devices in Step7. Many anti-virus-scanner have an option like this.

The Symantec Endpoint Security Suite provides attack prevention, detection and response for endpoints in an organization. It provides a broad feature set including traditional and machine-learning based prevention measures, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), application control, and deception technology.

Cynet 360 is a security solution that includes a complete Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP), including Next-Generation Antivirus (NGAV), device firewall, advanced EDR security capabilities and automated incident response. The Cynet solution goes beyond endpoint protection, offering network analytics, UEBA and deception technology.

With access to multiple security control points consisting of both endpoint and network elements in the cloud, the challenges associated with growing remote worker needs are easier to address. Detecting and responding to increasingly sophisticated and targeted cyber threats becomes more straightforward.

We have a customer running ISE 2.4 with patch 5. They have Symantec endpoint protection 14.x. The customer has a local update server which is providing AV updates ( the clients are not directly getting the av updates from internet) . I have configured posture policy to check if any machine is running AV signature older than 14 days with auto-remediation ( Anti-Malware). But the clients are always getting the error "The remediation you are attempting is reporting an access denied error. This is usually due to privilege issues. Please contact your system administrator".

I found that the customer has disabled liveupdate functionality on the symantec endpoints. Cisco TAC had confirmed that this feature should be enabled on the SEP so that anyconnect agent can auto-remediate if it finds old signatures on the user machine. In our case the customer is using symantec group update server for updating their AV clients. Is there anyway that we can achieve auto-remediation when the customer is using group update server instead of live update?.
