New hitpoint interface in labs

Andrew,
Are you toying with the idea of a new interface for the hit points and
surges? I can understand how you might use something like this for the
tablet view or such. I for one don't like it, all it does it make you
have to click more. Would it be possible to have an alternate view for
touchscreen users with this kind of interface and the old one with the
buttons for mouse and touch pad users?

I'm toying with the idea, but it's nowhere near the top of the
priority list, for a couple of reasons:

1) I'm still fairly confident that the current interface is about as
efficient as it can be. Click/tap once, type number, hit enter, done.

2) I don't have my iPad yet. Using it might change my opinion; we'll see.

If I do change the UI, it will certainly a user setting so you can
keep the current UI if you don't like the new one.
