I think I'll run an iPlant seminar at the University of Sussex in May.

I'll put the powerpoint presentation (currently nowhere near finished) in the 'files' section here.
Please have a look at it from time to time and let me know what you think.

Could this seminar be recorded on video? It would be very interesting
in viewing the talks.
Maybe one day it becomes a TED talk.

Good luck during the seminar!

Just for you guys (and especially Christopher) to know. If you surf to
the iPlant wikipedia-page and you scroll down to the bottom of that
page, you find the iPlant being categorized under Pseudoscience.
I guess you don't want to be confronted with that in may :-)

Just for your reference and with thanks to a friend of mine who
pointed this out.

cheers.

Personally I don't mind. I think someone will remove that label when they feel the science behind the iPlant is substantial enough, but at the moment the project is speculative.

Date and location for the iPlant seminar:

16:00 May 16
Sussex Centre for Genome Damage and Stability, University of Sussex,
Brighton, UK

So, please bring up ANY issue you think should be raised at this
seminar. The powerpoint is available in the files section here on the
forum (pick the one with the highest number next to it if there are
several) and is a good outline of what I plan to talk about.
