The Katfriends at Kisaco Research wish to inform IPKat readers that their Patent Litigation Europe event is returning to the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam on 18-20 January 2027. The agenda is available
here.
As explained by the organizers, following a successful rebrand this year, Patent Litigation Europe 2027 retains three co-located tracks – UPC Litigation Forum, Pharma & Biotech Patent Litigation and Tech & Innovation Patent Litigation – with 850+ attendees, 45% in-house counsel and 20+ networking hours across three days for meeting new clients and building referral relationships.
What’s new for 2027:
- A bigger stage for the UPC Litigation Forum: Two full tracks cover emerging strategy and case law, alongside integrating the UPC into the global IP industry.
- Specialist workshops: Dedicated, smaller-format sessions on MedTech, trade secrets, and soft IP built for deep discussions on key issues of interest for the participants and their clients.
- New frontiers in technology litigation: Expanded coverage across the tech and innovation agenda, including MedTech patenting concerns, SEP/FRAND, AI and quantum computing and NPE Litigation.
- The full scope of pharma & biotech IP: Innovator disputes, secondary patents, manufacturing litigation, parallel proceedings and biosimilars, that is what in-house teams are focusing on today.
- Sharper global context: Perspectives from the U.S., Canada, Brazil, China and beyond, reflecting the need for trusted cross-border relationships and integrated international litigation support from patent attorneys providing necessary technical perspectives on cases.
