Trier in summertime
|
The Katfriends at ERA in beautiful Trier are always busy preparing and running conferences, events, and courses on all aspects of EU law, including IP.
This Summer Course intends to provide a thorough introduction to European IP law, by covering the following key areas:
- EU and international legal framework
- Trade marks and designs, including the EU design reform
- Geographical indications, including for handicraft products
- Copyright and the digital age
- Patent law, SPCs, the Unified Patent Court and patent litigation
- Intellectual property exhaustion
- Intellectual property licensing
- Cross-border litigation and enforcement of intellectual property rights
Training methods include presentations, case studies and workshops.
As always, participants will also have the opportunity to attend a hearing at the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg, as well as participating in several social events throughout the course.
As a regular lecturer at the course myself, I have always thought that the organization was excellent. As a bonus, the participants also come from a broad variety of professional backgrounds and countries, and this invariably makes it for an engaging and fun time. If you are new to IP, then I cannot recommend this course highly enough.
As usual, IPKat has also negotiated a special discount for its readers. By using the VIP code IPKAT2026ERA at the checkout, a 20% discount will be applied (the discount can be combined with the early bird discount where applicable).
