From what I could understand, you have an error where saving office documents to certain shares on your file server takes a long time. You mentioned that this problem occurs with various Office products and on both NTFS and ReFS volumes. You also mentioned that adding the user to the server's admin group fixes the problem and that you observed an "ACCESS DENIED" message in Procmon before the long wait while saving.
yeah I thought so guys, thanks - trying to spend professional plus keys on office workstations and standard keys on the VMs for development. Sadly this developer won this round but it won't happen again until they come up with some evidence.
