Few years ago (before Business Manager existed) I started running ads, and somehow, the page became a "Business" and took ownership of itself. When I open "Page Roles" where it says Owner shows the username of the page instead of my name.

Recently I started a Business Manager account and when I try to import my page, it says "A Page admin needs to approve your request for access.". I am lost on where that request is being sent. It's not in my email and not in the "Page Roles" section, like the Facebook doc says.

In 2015 I had an issue with my page (I also ran ads) and contacted [email protected] (Facebook Global Marketing Solutions - EMEA). They replied within a week. I don't remember where I found this information, I just looked up my sent mails for you.

Keeping on top of your Facebook marketing can be a big job, and you may not want to do it alone. Business Manager allows you to add team members so you can have a whole group of people working on your Facebook business page and ad campaigns.

We have been experiencing issues with connecting/updating our Instagram shop on our Facebook page due to Shopify Business Manager being classed as the page owner. I have recently joined the company and limited to posting across Facebook and Instagram as it saying I need to be an admin of the Shopify Business Manager Business account to do this. I believe this was set up a couple of years ago by someone who doesnt work at the company anymore and is no longer an admin of the Facebook page. I would have thought that because I am an admin of the facebook page, I was able to do this myself.

Once you have the screenshots available, showing that you are the admin and have the correct page roles assigned, you can reach out to our live support to ask them to escalate this for you. Please follow this link to reach our live support when you are ready: Contact Support - Shopify Help Center.

Once signed into Facebook Business, please make sure you have the correct page selected in the upper left side just above "Home". Next, click on the shopping cart icon on the left hand column for "Commerce" and then open the Commerce Settings section:

From the Commerce Manager, click the three lines for More Tools then Page Settings, this will open a new tab in your browser. In your page settings, please choose Page Roles and confirm the information matches the reference below:

If you are seeing an error message that you are not the admin for the Business Manager you can confirm that by signing into business.facebook.com with the same Facebook account you are connecting to within Shopify. Once signed in you can review the permissions available in that Business Manager account, which is also where you will be able to review your commerce settings.

I contacted Shopfiy support via live chat and they informed me that they couldn't resolve the issue as it's down to Facebook. Facebook Live support weren't helpful either saying they couldn't remove the page owner.

Unfortunately not! I did try to create a new Facebook account and connect Shopify to Facebook and Instagram but was instantly rejected due to having no established presence due to it being a new account. Very fustrating as we can't showcase our products well on our social media pages!

As Shopify didn't really offer too much help in this matter, I went ahead and deleted my Commerce Manager account which had deleted any previous shops, catalogue etc and have created a new Commerce manager account in order to create a new Facebook shop with a new catalogue for my Facebook page, which I successfully completed and now I just have to update it with my new products, in order to appear on both Facebook and Instagram sales channels.

I am having this same issue and for months have tried both Shopify and Facebook to remove the Shopify business manager account and the commerce account. I have created new Facebook that has not helped either. I am so frustrated and thinking about moving platforms to try something else as I can not get answers from anyone. Did anyone have any success in removing the Shopify Business Manager or Commerce account? Please help I would love to know how to do this to be able to optimize both Facebook & Instagram shopping. Thank you.

Hello there, so as I told you before I had the exact same run around that you've had with both FB and Shopify. After getting no help from them I decided to open a new personal FB account so I could have a whole new Business Manager, my catalog connected with no problems, but FB sent me an email telling me that my commerce account was not approved, meaning my products were not visible to any customers on their channel, they gave me absolutely no reason why it was not approved, but I suspected it was because my FB account was new So not wanting to give up on this whole ordeal I sent them a message and was able to chat with a live person through messenger!!! I could not believe it, I almost cried!! Anyhow he looked into my account and confirmed that it was not approved because the account was new, but that everything else looked fine and could try in a couple of months to connect the accounts again. I am attaching the link I used for the chat and hope it helps you in some way, the link was originally shared by another Shopify user. -discussions/facebook-commerce-account-not-aproved-error-with...

Trying to connect the FACEBOOK PAGE to a new BUSINESS MANAGER Account I created for the business, but couldn't connect it to the Business Manager Account because the OWNER of the page is "Shopify Business Manager".

I am having this exact same issue, was anyone able to solve this? I have spoken with Facebook numerous amounts of times and they keep trying to act as if the shopify business manager is an actual person. Everyone involved has given everyone access to everything to the best of their abilities. Nothing will solve this. I even tried making a new business manager account, did not work. I am having this with both my Facebook and Instagram accounts. Please help, it is driving me crazy

If staff need to use Facebook and Instagram by Meta, then they need to connect to Facebook and Instagram by Meta in their Shopify admin, using their own Facebook account. The staff's Facebook account must have admin permission on the Business Manager and Facebook page associated with the Shopify store to be able to successfully connect to Facebook and Instagram by Meta.

If your Facebook account has an administrator or editor role on a Facebook page, then you can post, comment, and message as the page without customers seeing personal information. Learn more about Facebook Page roles.

On Facebook, you need an admin role for a Page and Business Manager before you can access all of Facebook's settings and make certain changes. Pages and Business Managers have separate account permissions, which means that you need admin roles for each one. The Business Manager that you select in Facebook and Instagram by Meta must be the owner of the Facebook page during onboarding. If the Facebook Page is owned by a different Business Manager, then the Facebook Page isn't listed as an option to connect. If you can't connect a desired Facebook Page, then check that the Facebook Business Manager you are connecting owns the Facebook page, or try connecting a different Business Manager.

Begin by visiting when logged into Facebook. You can first scroll down on that page and read a bit more about what Business Manager offers, then click on the Create Account button in the upper right corner to get started migrating your Facebook Business Page and Ads account over to Business Manager.

I am trying to move my business page. In the instructions above it says: You can select your Facebook Business Page from the list of existing businesses There is no option to select my business page. So, I am stuck ?

The Projects feature lets you group different pages, ad accounts, and apps into a single entity. This will give you logical access to specific assets that go together, which considerably simplifies managing business assets.

7. Choose the asset types you require access to and then the permissions you need (you will need to request the permissions separately for each asset type you want access to: pages, ad accounts, catalogs, pixels, and Instagram accounts).

There are a few different ways to get access to your clients' Facebook assets. They range Instead of asking for from using your clients' login (remember, never do that!), to getting individually added via your personal Facebook account as a person to your clients' page or ad account, requesting access as a Facebook Partner is optimal. None of these options are great though.

I hope this makes your life easier and you can now go back to managing your Facebook page successfully. And if you find yourself in a need to use Business Manager in the future, you can always try it again!

Facebook Business Manager is an essential tool for any company looking to start advertising on Facebook. It allows you to control everything to do with your Facebook marketing from a centralised place. That means you can control your ad accounts, your pages, your pixels, your catalogues and manage admin tasks such as employee access without having to work across a jumble of personal accounts.

When designing your ad and landing page, ensure that the offer promised in the ad is the same as the one on the landing page. You should also include common elements, such as colors, fonts, and images, that will make it easy for people to recognize your offer and convert.

You might see the business name which manages your Page. Do you recognise this business? if so, try to contact them. If it is your own business, you may want to check with all of your team members who may have created this page or have access to it. Some people who may have Admin access to the Business Manager account also will be listed below. You can directly contact each individual listed as Owners and ask them to check their access to the page at . If they see the Page listed in their Business Manager account, they can give you access from there.
