I just posted an updated version of iphotoexport, with these new
features:
- A new option, --places, exports place information when used with the
one meta data update options -k or -K. Place names (city names,
country names, country names, etc.) are merged into the keyword lists,
and the GPS coordinates are written to the GPS parameters in the EXIF
metadata of the images.
- Ratings are exported if either -k or -K is used.
- A new option, --picasa, switches iphotoexport to export original
images to .picasaoriginals sub-folders (instead of Originals), and
report if the Picasa folder description and iPhoto event or album
descriptions don't match.
Two problems were fixed:
- Improved detection of stale images if titles were swapped between
images. For example, if you had two images titled "a" and "b", and
just swapped the titles in iPhoto, iphotoexport would not always
notice that the exported files needed to be rewritten. This has been
improved by also checking the size of the exported files.
- The python sqlite3 package is now only required for face tag or
place export. This allows iphotoexport to run on systems with older
Python installations that don't always include the Python Sqlite
package. This should make it easier to use iphotoexport on Mac OSX
Tiger.
Enjoy!
