How to restore iphone Simulator within Xcode? It is corrupted. I can't
test sound and UIAlertView.

Just guessing since Ive never had this problem, but have you tried
reloading the SDK? Not sure if there are any negative side effects
from doing so (loss of preferences etc), but I would think that would
work.

Are you sure its not your app?

If it's not too badly borked and you can still run it, you can try
resetting it from inside the Simulator (iPhone Simulator:Reset
Contents and Settings menu). That, however, erases ALL data including
sample entries in the addressbook and canned images. Personally, I
like having those around for testing purposes. If you don't care, then
no big.

The alternative is to reinstall the SDK, which overwrites the
simulator and data.

I find out after continuously building and debugging on the same app
both simulator and device are getting corrupted. Things start to fail,
not code.

Anyone have more suggestions, may be from Apple source?
